"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." What does Jesus mean when he says that there is blessing in our mourning, our grief, our lament? While we can appreciate the promise of comfort, how are we to understand grief as something 'good' - or at least as a condition or quality that leads to some sort of goodness? This week we'll move into the second beatitude of Jesus - the blessing of those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
