Search Party: The Older Brother

When I was first introduced to the story of the prodigal son, it was just that - the story of one lost child. Later, as I became more acquainted with the Bible, I learned there was another son, an older brother, but even then he was presented as more stubborn than lost. However, the more time I've spent in God's word and the more I've come to know Jesus, the more I've come to see that the older brother is just as lost as the younger - if not more so. The younger son is lost in rebellious living; the older son is lost in self-righteousness. Both are lost.

As we close out our Search Party series, we'll explore the second half of the last story in Luke 15 and see that regardless of how we become lost, there's a God waiting and watching, seeking and searching, eager to welcome us home.
