Search Party: Is God Good and Can We Trust Him?

In the story of the Prodigal Son(s), it's easy to assume that the 'problem' of the younger son is his rebelliousness and the 'problem' of the older son is his self-righteousness. While these realities certainly present themselves in the text, is it possible that there's something else, something even more basic, and perhaps, even more common to these two brothers that is at work? While rebelliousness and self-righteousness are certainly the presenting issues, is it possible that they are merely symptoms of a deeper, more fundamental brokenness?

This week we'll wrap up our "Search Party" series by exploring one more thing these two very different brothers have in common: their inability to trust the Father.
