Blessed are the Pure in Heart

Jesus says, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." In many ways, this blessing is the great equalizer - whatever confidence we thought we may have had in our flesh dissolves with this blessing. Are any of us ever, truly pure in heart? Do any of us ever live in such a way that not only our actions, but our motivations are always perfectly in step with the will of God? Not many of us would dare to suggest such a thing. And yet, here is Jesus saying, "Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God." If purity of heart is what it takes to see God and we aren't pure of heart, what are we to do? This Sunday, we’ll unpack what it means to be pure of heart and explore the incredible promises of God.
